Bible Passage: Ephesians 4:25-5:2
Last year my husband, Steve, and I unknowingly committed HOA sins and were notified and warned. We frequently find the HOA rules confusing and restricting BUT what if those rules are actually for our own benefit?
If I don’t want to live next door to a dump, then the HOA rules are for my benefit.
And if my yard is the one beginning to look like a dump or smelly or . . . then the HOA is actually acting on my behalf by giving me boundaries for my yard.
What Pastor Paul is describing in Ephesians 4:25-5:2 sounds a lot like a wholesome, honest, spiritual HOA.
The part that gives me the most hope is in Ephesians 5:1-2 — we don’t have to be perfect. We have room to grow, so get to growing in your imitation of Godly living!
If you were the president of a Spiritual HOA, what slogan would you have?
