Bible Passage: 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:1
As a child, I loved to go camping—now I realize how much work it is. Tents involved lots of frustration and anger while father erected them, but they were necessary.
When we were first married, some friends from church sold us their ancient tent, and we took it to Camp Meeting.
Rain. Lots of rain. Inside the tent. Misery.
We went home.
I was so glad that we were packing up our tent and our baby girl. That the tent, dreadfully unfit for our comfort and safety, was only temporary. That we had another home where we were headed. We felt uncomfortable and frustrated, but we also knew we were on our way to a better place. A place that was dry, and had more of our stuff. Where we felt safe. Where we belonged. Our home.
