As I was reading through these scriptures, the one word that really jumped out was “wait.” Verse 7 says, “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him…“
Waiting means I have to be patient. I have prayed, and now I have to leave it with God and “wait’ for the answer.
Do I trust God enough to wait? Will the answer be the “desires of my heart?” The word says it will.
When I look back on my life, it was in the “waiting” time that my faith has gotten stronger. Faith to believe in God’s promises, His faithfulness, and His love for me. I look back and see that His answers were so much better than I could ever imagine, even when it wasn’t quite the way I expected. All of my life experiences have given me a “peace that passes all understanding.”
Thank You Father for the gift of Your Son and His sacrifice for me. Thank You Father for the blood that covers all my sin and thank You for Your grace. Thank You Father for the “waiting” times that makes my faith so much stronger. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
