We had a busy season of service and celebration at Chandler First Church of the Nazarene. Our season was full of God’s grace and light: Hanging of the Greens, Advent Celebrations, Christmas Music, IHELP, and MASH. It was an awesome season of celebrating God’s love and sharing it with our neighbors around us. Here are a few highlights.
One of our faithful servants, Barbara Ferguson, was interviewed by 12 News. Barbara dedicates significant time to creating weather-resistant sleeping mats from re-purposed plastic bags.
We are so thankful for family members, like Barbara, who are so willing to serve others.
Chandler First Church of the Nazarene hosts a holiday craft fair where local crafters and artists have an opportunity to share their talents and sell their handmade creations. We enjoy seeing the creativity of our church members, neighbors, and their family and friends and being part of the Park Manors neighborhood and community of Chandler.
Thanks to everyone who supported this year’s craft fair! Watch our Event Calendar for the 2016 Craft Fair dates!
Here are a few snapshots:
Four of the CCN CHAOS kids participated in the November 7, 2015 Bible Quiz meet at Coolidge Church of the Nazarene. We are so proud of them for investing time into study and for attending this event.
The older Bible quizzers were part of the 3rd place team overall and all 4 of our kids earned a bronze ribbon. Not bad for our first invitational!
During the “big flood” of 2014, Chandler First Church of the Nazarene experienced large-scale flooding of our property and facility. Many of the classrooms and the gym were affected. Volunteer laborers have invested hard work and their servant hearts into cleaning restoring our building. We’ve been blessed by the spirit of cooperation and dedication.
Our most recent restoration project was the Room 6 classroom off of the courtyard. This classroom houses our 4 and 5 year old class on Wednesday nights. What started as a less-than-cheery room with carpet glue on the concrete floors is now an inviting place for our little ones to play and learn about God’s love.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
