Interrupted: When Jesus Wrecks Your Comfortable Christianity, by Jen Hatmaker
This morning in our Bible study, we were discussing the Apostle Paul and his credentials as a “Hebrew of Hebrews” (Philippians 3:5), and how he believed that he was zealously doing for God what God absolutely wanted him to do. And yet . . . those of us who know the rest of the story nod wisely and smugly think, “yeah, right!”
Well, that is where Jen Hatmaker found herself a few years ago. As a pastor’s wife and intimately involved with the ministry of their church, she was zealously working for the Lord and finding herself more and more frustrated and exhausted. “Why do I feel so dry?” became the life-changing question for her.
